Cacophony | Mark Broughton

Cacophony

Mark Broughton

A long time… continual voices. Always.

Shouting, screaming and muttering endlessly.

Begging for release. For birth.

Hurt, anger, envy, joy, pain, regret, longing. Memories.

A lifetime of memories. Good and bad. Finally shared.

Morose, grey, lost, nothing, worthless, empty, and a lot of goodbyes. But, the beauty of treasured moments. So many.

A ramble through a head.

Author's Note

'Cacophony' wasn't planned, hatched or born. It just grew. In fact, it wasn't even called 'Cacophony' until I'd decided that the manuscript was done. 40 years in the writing. I started writing in 1984. Bereft at the loss of my 1st 'real' girlfriend. Then I never stopped, it was always vomited up. There was something in my head that made me write. So, I kept on, and here we are. Cacophony is a journey through a mind, a mind that might not be hinged properly. But it's a ramble worth taking, I hope. I don't know if this will resonate with you, but it always came from a broken heart. I think. Sometimes, less is more, but then sometimes less is not enough. 'You never know what is enough, until you know what is more than enough' - William Blake.

Please note - this is a big book - A4 size and nearly 400 pages, hence the cost of £30.
